About
Hey, I’m Ash!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
For a long time I tried every possible thing, hoping something would finally heal my body.
What changed was understanding that it does not work in separate pieces. What we eat, the way we live, believing in God. It all comes together in the end. That is what a good, healthy life is built on.
It takes a little discipline, and a lot of grace.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at just 14 years old. I was far too young to understand what was really happening inside my body. Over the years, that journey took me through dramatic weight changes and confusing symptoms. I lost 25kg and kept it off for four years, and my periods stayed irregular the whole time. Then, at 24, a wake-up call: a cyst near my ovary the size of an orange, which eventually meant surgery in November 2025.
That season tested me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It pushed me to the absolute end of my own strength. But in the middle of hospital visits, fear, and uncertainty, it also taught me the power of total surrender.

Faith & healing: one whole journey
Through that trial, God shifted my perspective completely.
I realised that our spiritual walk and our physical health are not two separate things. Scripture reminds us that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Caring for our health isn’t about vanity or perfection; it is an act of stewardship and gratitude for the life we’ve been given. When we nourish our bodies, rest our minds, and honour God with how we live, everything begins to align.
Somewhere in that recovery, looking for answers turned into something I genuinely loved. I started reading everything I could find about hormones, about nutrition, about what a holistic approach to living actually looks like when you stop treating your body in separate pieces. Nobody handed me a plan, so I did my own research, tried things, and slowly learned to listen to what my body was telling me. What started as desperation quietly became a passion, and I’m still following it. I’m continuing to study nutrition and hormone health, working towards qualifying as a health coach, so that one day I can walk alongside other women in this with more than just my own story.
Walking this life with God gave me peace, and learning to nourish my body with real, nutrient-dense whole food and a simple low-carb way of eating has helped me immensely.
I want to be honest about where that leaves me: my story doesn’t have a neat ending, because living with PCOS isn’t something with a clear finish line. I’m still walking it. Still paying attention to what I eat, still healing my gut, still learning. If you want the whole story, cyst and consent form and all, I’ve written it out here.

What guides this space
Honest, not polished
Real life doesn't come with perfect lighting. I'd rather write something true than something impressive.
Body and soul, not either/or
Caring for one is caring for the other. It's why the recipes and the prayers live in the same place here.
Slow over rushed
Good things take time. I try to write, and live, at a pace that leaves room to actually notice life.
Come along with me

I write as someone living with PCOS, not as a doctor. Nothing here is medical advice. Please talk to a professional who knows your history before you change anything about your treatment.
